BHOOMI POOJA

Bhoomi Pooja for Chinmaya Mission NWI was held on August 3rd, 2011, at 8705 Merrillville Road, Merrillville, IN.

The ceremony was graced by Pujya Swami Tejomayanandaji.

The adjacent Sudhama Kutiya (rectory) was inaugurated too with attendance and blessings from Pujya Guruji and visiting Swamijis and Acharyas of various Chinmaya Mission centers.

In attendance, were Pujya Swami Sharananandaji, the resident acharya for Chinmaya Mission Chicago Badri & Yamunotri centers, and Chinmaya Mission NWI, Pujya Swami Sarveshanandaji, Pujya Swami Shantanandaji, Brahmacharini Arpitaji, Brahamacharini Aparnaji, Acharya Shankerji & Acharya Vivekji amongst others.

The foundation bricks for the future Chinmaya Omkara building were laid down amongst chanting and prayers by Pujya Vasishtaji from the adjacent Bharatiya Temple of NWI.

Chinmaya MIssion NWI Sevaks and Sevikas, parents and Bala Vihar children all lent a hand in securing a solid foundation for the future center.

Bhajans were sung and celebrations were in full swing as the evening lit up with Pujya Guruji's talk on "Pursuit of Happiness". Bala Vihar children performed skits depicting the learning from their classes this year. Prasadam was served with unconditional love and grace.

We have been blessed to be associated with Chinmaya Mission for the past 15years & have come a long way! Our sincere gratitude to Swami Sharananandaji ,who has been our guiding light, our inspiration & a mentor. We have been able to grow in the right direction by enhancing the spiritual values & lives of our children & adults. With the spiritual wisdom of Chinmaya Mission, we will be able to enrich the lives of NWI community.

This will truly be an event to remember with happy memories and great milestones.
